Hosting international students has been such a rewarding experience for our family. What began as a way to open our home quickly became a way to open our hearts—and our minds. One of the most meaningful parts of this journey has been watching our daughters form deep, lasting friendships with the international students who come to live with us. They don't just share a home; they share laughter, stories, late-night talks, and memories that will stay with them for a lifetime.
Every day brings a new opportunity to learn and grow. Whether we’re cooking meals from different countries, celebrating unique holidays, or just talking about our daily lives, we’re constantly gaining fresh perspectives. Our international daughters bring with them a piece of the world, and it’s a blast learning from them and sharing our own culture in return.
Being together truly expands all of our worlds. It reminds us how much we have in common despite our different backgrounds, and how beautiful life can be when those differences are embraced. Hosting has changed us for the better—we’re more open, more connected, and more grateful for the global family we’ve built.
